Mandap hire in Dartford

Traditional red and gold wedding stage with draped fabric, carved seating and florals

Dartford sits on the Thames at the meeting point of Kent, Essex and south-east London, and it is home to a well-established South Asian community. Our mandap hire in Dartford covers banqueting suites, hotels, golf clubs and marquees across the town and north-west Kent, with every mandap delivered, installed and removed by our own team.

Where Kent, Essex and London meet

Few places are as well connected as Dartford. The M25 and the Dartford Crossing link it directly to Essex, the A2 runs west towards Bexley and Greenwich and east towards Gravesend, and Ebbsfleet International is just down the road. Trains run into London, making the town easy to reach for guests without a car.

North-west Kent, including Dartford and neighbouring Gravesend, has long been home to South Asian families, and large Indian weddings with extended family travelling from London and the Midlands are part of local life. Many couples want a venue that can welcome several hundred guests with ample parking.

Banqueting suites, hotels and marquees

In and around Dartford, the most popular choices are:

  • Banqueting and function suites designed for large Asian weddings, with ceremony and reception under one roof.
  • Hotels near the M25 and A2, convenient for guests staying overnight.
  • Golf and country clubs on the edge of town, with function rooms and landscaped grounds.
  • Marquees in private gardens and farm grounds towards the Kent countryside.

A traditional Hindu wedding mandap in Dartford

For a large banqueting suite, colour and scale make the difference. Many couples here choose from our traditional collection, with red and gold detailing, carved pillars and rich drapery, or a statement piece such as The Mehr. If your style is more contemporary, our modern mandaps offer clean lines that still feel celebratory.

Whatever the design, the stage plan matters. Our guide to how much space a mandap needs explains how to allow room for the priest, family and photographer.

On the day: crossings, access and the havan

Being in Kent, Dartford is free of London's ULEZ and Congestion Charge. The bigger question is the crossing itself: guests driving down from Essex will pay the Dartford Crossing charge online, and queues on the approach to the bridge and tunnels can build quickly on a Saturday, so it is worth a note on your invitations.

Banqueting suites in north-west Kent are usually built with large stages, but it is still worth sending us the stage size: our designs take from roughly three by three metres to five by five, plus clearance for the priest and family, and need three to four metres of headroom. Set-up generally runs to a few hours, so when a suite is hosting another function the night before we agree an early access slot and a loading route from the car park. Fire rules vary between halls; some allow a small contained havan, others need an alternative, and we confirm this with the venue in advance.

Planning your Dartford ceremony

Families from Dartford, Gravesend and Bexley are welcome to book an appointment to see our designs in person. Each mandap is priced to your design, florals and venue, and paying a quarter of the total as a deposit confirms your wedding date. You might also like our pages on Sevenoaks and South London. Frequently asked questions

Do you provide mandaps for large banqueting suites in Dartford?

Yes. We design mandaps to suit the scale of the room and plan the stage layout with your venue, whatever the size of your guest list.

Is Dartford inside the ULEZ?

Neither scheme applies: Dartford lies in Kent, beyond the Greater London boundary at Bexley. The only charge to mention to guests is the one for the Dartford Crossing between Kent and Essex.

Can we have the havan at our venue?

It depends on the venue's fire rules. We check with them in advance and agree a suitable alternative if an open flame is not permitted.
