Mandap hire in Tooting

Luxurious event hall dressed with pink floral installations and warm lighting

Few places in London feel as wedding-ready as Tooting, where the shops along Upper Tooting Road and Tooting High Street have dressed generations of brides and grooms. Our mandap hire in Tooting completes that picture: a ceremony centrepiece designed for your rituals, delivered and installed wherever in south-west London, or beyond, you choose to marry.

From Tooting Broadway to the wedding day

Tooting has a long-standing South Asian community, with Gujarati, Tamil, Sri Lankan and Punjabi families among many others, and its high street is where countless wedding outfits, jewellery and sweets are bought. Couples planning a Hindu ceremony here usually know exactly what they want the rituals to feel like; the mandap is where that vision becomes physical.

Because Tooting itself is densely built, with terraced streets between Tooting Common and the Wandle, most weddings take place a little further afield. Families tend to look at banqueting halls across south and south-west London, hotel ballrooms in the centre of town, and estates and golf clubs out towards Surrey.

Choosing a Hindu wedding mandap for Tooting families

A busy banqueting hall with several hundred guests suits a bold, high-impact design that can be seen from the back of the room. A hotel ballroom often calls for something more refined that sits comfortably with chandeliers and panelling. A smaller, more intimate ceremony may suit one of our minimal mandaps, where clean lines and carefully placed florals do the work.

If you love colour, our floral mandaps can be dressed with fresh flowers, premium faux florals or a mix of both, and can be matched to the palette of your outfits and decor.

  • Banqueting halls: room for statement designs and large family groups
  • Central London hotels: elegant structures that work with existing decor
  • Surrey estates and golf clubs: outdoor ceremonies with an indoor fallback

Roads, access and London rules

Tooting sits between the A24, which runs through the heart of it, and the A3 and South Circular nearby, so traffic on a Saturday morning is a real consideration. We plan our arrival around the venue's access window and allow extra time for the roads, so installation, which typically takes two to four hours, is finished well before guests arrive.

All of Greater London is inside the ULEZ. If your ceremony is at a central London hotel, the Congestion Charge may also apply to vehicles on weekdays, which is worth flagging to your other suppliers. Central venues often have strict loading-bay slots, and our London hotel wedding mandap guide covers what to ask your events team.

Fire, space and the details venues ask about

Expect your venue to ask two questions early: how much space the mandap needs, and whether there will be a havan. Most of our designs need between three by three metres and five by five metres of floor, plus clearance around them and about three to four metres of height. Fire policies vary from a small contained havan to none at all, and we work with the venue to find an arrangement that respects both the ritual and their safety rules.

We also handle removal once the ceremony is over, so the room can be turned around for the reception without your family lifting a finger. A 25% deposit secures your date, viewings are by appointment, and every design is quoted individually. When you are ready, contact us and tell us about your plans.

Frequently asked questions

Do you cover Tooting and the rest of south-west London?

Yes. Delivery, installation and removal are included across London and the Home Counties, so venues in Tooting, Wimbledon, Streatham, Balham and further into Surrey are all covered.

Can we see a mandap before we book?

Yes, mandap viewings are available by appointment so you can see the designs, finishes and florals in person.

Our venue does not allow open flames. Can we still have a havan?

We will talk to the venue about what they can permit. Some allow a small contained fire, and where they do not, there are respectful alternatives that your priest can advise on.
