Mandap hire in Hounslow

Grand hotel ballroom with crystal chandeliers, arranged for a wedding celebration

Hounslow's position beside Heathrow shapes its wedding scene more than almost anywhere else in London. Large hotel ballrooms, conference-scale function rooms and banqueting suites sit within easy reach of the airport and the M4, which is ideal when relatives are flying in from India, East Africa or North America. Our mandap hire in Hounslow covers the full service, from design advice to installation and removal.

Weddings in the shadow of Heathrow

The Bath Road and the Great West Road (A4) are lined with large hotels, many of which have ballrooms built for big events, and the area between Hounslow, Hatton Cross and Feltham has plenty of function space designed for exactly the kind of guest numbers a Hindu or Sikh wedding brings. For couples with family arriving internationally, being a short taxi ride from the terminals is a real advantage.

Hotel ballrooms here are usually practical rather than characterful: good loading access, plain walls and flexible lighting. That's a blank canvas for a mandap, and a well-chosen design can transform the room. Our luxury mandaps and traditional mandaps are particularly well suited to these larger, neutral spaces.

A Hindu wedding mandap in Hounslow: local traditions

Hounslow is home to long-established Punjabi, Gujarati and wider South Asian communities, and family weddings here are often large, multi-day affairs. We're used to mandaps that need to work for a morning ceremony and then be photographed beautifully for an evening reception, and we can talk through options for seating the couple, parents and priest comfortably within the structure.

Access, timings and airport-hotel practicalities

Airport hotels often run several events at once, so loading docks and service lifts can be busy. We work with the events team on a firm access slot and agree where the mandap will be built before we arrive. Installation usually takes two to four hours, and removal is planned for the end of the night or the following morning, depending on the venue.

  • Check ceiling height: some conference-style rooms are lower than they look, and we need around 3m to 4m clearance
  • Confirm floor space: most mandaps need roughly 3m x 3m to 5m x 5m, plus space around them
  • Ask about smoke detection early, as many airport hotels have strict rules on open flame
  • Allow for traffic on the A4 and around the M4 junctions when setting your timeline

Gardens, parks and outdoor ceremonies

Not every Hounslow wedding is indoors. Around Isleworth, Osterley and towards Twickenham there are venues with lawns and gardens, and some families host the ceremony in a marquee. Outdoor mandaps use weighted bases rather than stakes where needed, and every outdoor booking includes a wet-weather plan. Our guide to outdoor mandaps and UK weather covers what to think about.

Booking and next steps

Delivery, installation and removal are included across London and the Home Counties, every mandap is quoted individually, and a 25% deposit secures your date. If you'd like to see designs in person, viewings are available by appointment. Tell us about your Hounslow venue and guest numbers and we'll help you choose, just contact us to start the conversation.

Frequently asked questions

Can you work with hotels close to Heathrow?

Yes. We plan around the needs of large hotel venues, including busy loading areas and shared service lifts, and we agree access times with the events team in advance.

Will a havan be allowed at my Hounslow hotel?

It depends on the venue. Some allow a small, contained fire, while others require an alternative. We recommend asking early, and we're happy to help you frame the question to the venue.

Do you also cover Feltham, Isleworth and Hatton Cross?

Yes, we cover the whole of the Hounslow area and the surrounding parts of west and south-west London.
